Back Home

We made it back to Atlanta after the long journey over the Atlantic.  We flew out of Rome, so we left Anghiari about 10:30 in the morning and took the train from Arezzo and got to Rome about 3:00.  Our time there was spent repacking for the flight home and sighing heavily.  And drinking wine on our balcony.  Last meal was at Taverna Cestia.  We had a really hard time deciding where to go for our last meal and randomly chose Cestia for no particular reason.

It was a great trip.  It was a fantastic trip.  We enjoyed every second and, as always, didn’t have enough time.  Many people we didn’t get to see and things we didn’t get to do.  But the things we did were wonderful.  We had adventure, unexpected joys, experienced familiar and soul-satisfying views, had incredible food and wine, and felt the stress of everyday life melt away and newfound peace grow in its place.  What more can you ask of a vacation?  The only thing would be for it not to end.
